​Academic Coursework
(Virtual) Lecture with instructor: 4 hours per week -
In-person clinical lab skills: 4 hours every week ​

Requirement of 30+ venipuncture attempts and 10+ dermal puncture attempts​

Students will practice venipunctures and dermal punctures on classmates,
and will have these procedures performed on themselves by other students.

National Certification Examination
Upon successful completion of academic coursework-
Students will sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Certified Phlebotomy Technician examination

Cost of CPT National Certification Exam (1)​

Students will sit for their Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification exam, at the end of the program. This initial attempt is paid for by the institution, and subsequent attempts or desire to sit for certification with another organization will be at the student’s expense.
Although not required for employment in all States, certification reflects the competency learned and skills obtained through this training and provides an advantage when seeking employment and is preferred in the State of Georgia.
